11/13/24 Tumwater PTO Board Meeting Minutes

We had a busy meeting with an exciting opportunity to approve almost $10K in grants for programs at our school! See below for all of the approved grants and a link to our board meeting minutes.

Approved Grants:

1. Classroom Headphones for the World Language Department $130

2. Alesis Multimix 10 Wireless for music classroom, $350

3. Rebounder Nets for PE classes, $560

4. Recess Balls for all grades for lunch recess, $500

5. Winco Gift Cards for Thanksgiving/Winter break community needs, $2300

6. Sensory aids & games for ISC, $450

7. Sewing Machines & Cricut machine for Design classes, $1841

8. Incentives for attendance program, $1090

Partially Approved Grants:

1. Garden Beds for Gardening Club to start a school garden, approved $1000 for 2 garden beds & supplies

2. Cooking Supplies for SRC, approved $240 for 3 months funding.  If all of the money is utilized, SRC teacher can request additional grant for more funding

3. Peg Board for ADL skill for SRC, approved up to $500 for cost of peg board, shelves & reusable grocery bags only

4. Trophy for Spirit Competition, approved up to $225 for 3 grade-level trophies, Laura to suggest options

Total Grant Money Approved: $9,186
