The process for corporate matching begins with the employee. There are two ways for community donors to facilitate this process.
1.DONATE DIRECTLY FROM YOUR CORPORATE GIVING SITE (easiest):
Head to your employer’s giving site (see below for many local employer links)
Look up Tumwater Parent Teacher Organization (EIN #87-1380669), ensuring that you are donating to the correct organization
Make your donation directly on this website
Forward your confirmation email to vp@tumwaterpto.org so we can accurately track our fundraising efforts.
2.DONATE TO TUMWATER PTO & SUBMIT RECEIPT TO YOUR CORPORATE GIVING PROGRAM:
Donate to any Tumwater PTO initiative, including Rising Tides, our music boosters, or the 8th grade Celebration
Use our generic receipt or request a receipt from treasurer@tumwaterpto.org
Look up Tumwater Parent Teacher Organization (EIN #87-1380669) & “request a match,” ensuring that you are donating to the correct organization , & submiting your receipt through your employer’s corporate giving program

VOLUNTEER HOURS: In addition to matching monetary donations, many employers will also provide matching funds for the volunteer hours employees log with registered non-profits. Check your company’s Corporate Giving site for details.

Where can I get a receipt with the appropriate language required for corporate submission?
You can use our generic Rising Tides receipt (which includes the required language) or request a receipt from treasurer@tumwaterpto.org.
How can I find out if my employer matches nonprofit donations?
Generally, that info would be available from your HR Department. If you need help, let us know!
What if I want my donation matched specifically to fund the 8th grade celebration or TEMPO?
Forward us the matching confirmation & indicate that you would like it matched for a specific cause. Or, many matching websites allow you to write a note within the submission.
