Tumwater PTO Launches Rising Tides Campaign
Your Tumwater PTO Board is excited & proud to launch our 2021-22 fundraising campaign, Rising Tides. This effort is about coming together, forging a community, building new traditions, & giving what we can to raise all kids.
We began this organization with exactly $0. Our dreams are big as we brainstorm ideas to bring vibrancy & energy to Tumwater’s halls in this new normal. As we start this organization from scratch, the more successful our fundraising, the greater our impact on every student.
Any amount donated is gratefully received. It is the power of our collective effort that will make this fundraiser successful. However, for those looking for more direction, we suggest an initial donation of $100-$150 per student, if that’s a reasonable possibility for your family.
Our fundraising capacity is slightly diminished this year due to the ongoing Covid impact on families, as well as our current inability to receive corporate matching funds (due to our still-pending 501(c)(3) status). We humbly ask that families donate as generously as possible, as early as possible.
It's time for Tumwater to show up for each other & to build something from nothing. Please join us in that effort.

Tumwater School Supply List
Below are the suggested supplies for school this year. Tumwater is not partnering with any organizations that pre-package school supplies. We encourage you to reuse any items available at home and are able to support any students who need assistance with supplies.
Teachers will be helping students manage digital calendars and planning tools, so paper planners will not be distributed to students as they were at most middle schools before distance learning. Students who wish to use a planner are welcome to bring their own to school and we will have a limited supply available at school.
If you are in need of assistance with school supplies, please call the school office or email TMS-Communications@beaverton.k12.or.us.

Join the Tumwater Volunteer Database
Parent and community volunteers are essential for the continued success of the Tumwater community. Varied opportunities are available from staff appreciation, event support, and chaperoning.

HELPFUL TIPS FOR THE mIP SYSTEM
Update your preferences through the myimpactpage.com (mIP) system. Select My Profile-> Interests and mark what options you'd like to hear more about throughout the year. RETURNING PARENTS PLEASE NOTE: Preferences and interests do not automatically carry over year to year. Each fall, you will need to update your interests. These interests are school specific.
Change the default setting from Anonymous. Select My Profile-> Contact Information and check the privacy settings that allow other volunteers to see your name on a sign-up.
Update your child's information. Go to My Profile->Additional Info and ensure that your child's grade is correct. Hit Save at the bottom of the page.
Questions? Visit the mIP Site Guide.
